Our alumni go on to make a significant positive impact in education, activism, and other fields of social justice. In recent years, our alumni have won Teacher of the Year Awards at the school, district, and state levels, Golden Apple Awards, and other awards for exceptional teaching within their schools or networks. Alumni often go on to have leadership roles at their schools, becoming instructional coaches, department chairs, and principals. Most importantly, our alumni give back to their students and the communities they serve, leveraging the expertise they gained working with community-based organizations to begin new school initiatives such as a community garden and more diverse classroom libraries.
