Clinical Experience Overview
The UTEP yearlong clinical internship occurs in two settings—one semester in the University of Chicago Charter Schools and a second semester in a CPS school. At the University of Chicago Charter Schools UTEP interns are exposed to instructional practices that result in high levels of student achievement. Although the interns’ work in our own professional development schools lies at the very heart of our program, it is essential that our candidates obtain experiences in neighborhood schools in CPS as well, since they embody the conditions of their future employment for many of our graduates.
