The Role of Clinical Instructor
Clinical Instructors (CI) within and outside of the University of Chicago Charter Schools are carefully selected by the program staff. Teachers who are selected for the role of Clinical Instructor must be engaged in instructional practices that align with the teaching of the program’s core values. Selected clinical instructors are required to attend a summer institute, and approximately ten professional development sessions, and participate in an online mentoring support community. In return for the substantial responsibilities UTEP asks them to assume, Clinical Instructors receive $3000/year stipends for this work.
