Online Application

Candidates planning to apply to the UTEP Elementary or Secondary program for entry in the fall of 2010, please click here to begin your online application. This link will take you to the University's online application manager. When you get to this page, you'll need to follow the steps to create an account to get the process started. After applications are submitted, they will be screened. Qualified applicants will be required to participate in the second stage of the interview process in Chicago, which includes:

-A 45 minute face-to-face interview with UTEP directors and instructional team members
-A school walk-through and discussion

TIMELINES FOR APPLYING TO UTEP FOR ENTRY INTO THE PROGRAM IN THE FALL OF 2010:

December 7th: Applications Due, all non University of Chicago students

January 3rd: Applications Due, current University of Chicago students

January 13th-15th: Fact-to-face interviews and school walk-through

January 31st or earlier: Candidates are notified of admissions decisions

If space is remains available UTEP will conduct a second round of interviews with application deadlines of March 15th for non UofC students and April 5th for UofC students. Interviews and school walk throughs will take place April 12th-14th, with admissions decisions made by April 30th.

Out-of state applicants are encouraged to fly into Midway Airport (closer to campus) or O'Hare International Airport and stay at the nearby Ramada Inn. An economic alternative to taking a taxi to campus is using the Omega Shuttle.  They have stops at Ramada Inn and at the International House (on Dorchester and 59th), which is located across the midway from Chapin Hall where you will be intereviewed (60th and Kenwood).
