Financial Aid Information

The University of Chicago is committed to keeping the costs of Chicago UTEP as low as possible to attract the most qualified people to teach in urban schools. Our students can expect a minimum tuition reduction of fifty percent for Clinical Internship year. Assistance, based on merit and need, along with work-study support, can result in costs totaling little more than living expenses.


As with any institution you should apply for FAFSA by the deadline. Early applicants will have a better chance of receiving work-study monies as well as eligible to receive support from the Perkins loan program.

The University participates in the following federal and private loan programs for U.S. citizens and eligible non-citizens: Federal Stafford and Perkins Student Loans, Health Professions Student Loans, Health Education Assistance Loans, and alternative loans such as UC Alternative, GradSHARE, MBATLP, and LAW Access. The University is also a lender in the Stafford Loan program.
